Optical thermometry in biological applications
Justyna Zeler is an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Wroclaw. She earned her Doctorate in Chemistry in 2018 and has since built an academic career, including postdoctoral research at the Physics Department of Aveiro University, Portugal, under the NanoTBTech H2020 project, and short-term stay in Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf Institute (HZDR) in Germany.
Her expertise spans photoluminescent materials, including luminescence thermometry, thermoluminescent dosimeters and storage phosphors, as reflected in her leadership of several research projects funded by the National Science Centre in Poland. Her achievements include over 40 scientific publications, underscoring her significant contributions to the field of optical materials.
Beyond her research, Justyna Zeler has made her mark as an academic leader and mentor. She serves as the scientific supervisor for the University of Wroclaw ECS Student Chapter in The Electrochemical Society and is a member of the Young Academy of Arts and Sciences for the 2024–2029 term.
