Growth of single crystals of the weak ferromagnet Fe3BO6

  The Fe3B06 single crystals were grown from the flux consisting of 8,3 mass% Fe2O3 + 48,3mass% B2O3 + 7,6 mass% PbO + 35,8 mass% PbF2. The saturation temperature was determined with the help of probe crystals to be Tsat ≈ 890 ?C. The crystals have been characterized by XRD patterns. All the XRD peaks are assigned in terms of an orthorhombic crystal structure (Pnma space group) as reported in the literature for a bulk monocrystalline Fe3BO6.
