Abstract: This presentation is devoted to the synthesis procedure, luminescent properties and potential application of the tetraphosphates (ALnP4O12; A-Li, K, Na, Rb; Ln-lanthanide ions) nanocrystals. Tetraphosphates due to the large distance between optically active ions are characterized by relatively low luminescent concentration quenching. This feature together with their other unique physic-chemical properties makes tetraphosphoates interesting from application point of view. The influence of the dopant concentration and the size of the nanocrystals on their spectroscopic properties will be discussed. Potential application of the tetraphosphates for anti-Stokes broadband white lightning, luminescent thermometers and bioimaging will be presented.

Brief introduction: Dr. Eng. Łukasz Marciniak, born in 1985, graduated on 2009 at the Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Wroclaw University of Technology receiving the master degree in the specialization in photonics receiving master's degree. The doctoral studies he performed at the Institute of Low Temperatures and Structure Research, Polish Academy of Sciences in Wroclaw, Poland 2009-2014. He was graduated in 2014 at the Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research of Polish Academy of Sciences in Wroclaw receiving doctorate in physical sciences. His research activity covers laser spectroscopy, luminescence properties of rare earth and transition metal ions in crystal, glasses and nanoceramics, sol-gel materials, nanophosphors for solid state lighting (anti-Stokes white emission) and nanothermometers. He is co-author of 30 publications (total IF 100), one book and two patent applications.
