　　报告摘要： 

　　Increased technological requirements on laser systems require continuous improvements at all stages of a laser chain. Great attention is dedicated to the gain media stimulating the improvement of manufacturing technique. In the quest for optimum crystals, numerous growth methods and equipment have been developed. Lasers are now advanced optical tools, used for an extraordinarily large range of applications. It is worth noting that today sapphire crystals are used for a wide range of applications. There is an increasing demand, for undoped sapphire wafers as substrates for GaN and ZnO thin films and for Ti³⁺ doped sapphire for ultra-short and high power laser systems. 

　　In this seminar, we will present the stake laser, the crystal position and the growth technology to get performed crystals for a large wide of application especially laser. We will also give an overview about single crystal fiber laser design grown by the micro-pulling down (µ-PD) technique. 

　　报告人简介： 

　　Prof. K. Lebbou is leader of crystal growth group, Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University. Before he was working as post-doctorant at Laboratory of Material Chemistry, University of Verona and LPCML Laboratory, University of Lyon 1, then associate professor at Institute for Material Research, Tohoku University, leader of the crystal growth at researcher at Europe Owens Corning corporation. His research interest’s focus on rare earth doped materials, crystal growth methods, optical materials, luminescent materials and crystal growth equipment. He is Fonder of fibercryst company (www.fibercryst.com), created in 2003. The company is specialized in fibers crystals and optics. Now he is expert consulting on crystal growth field for some companies like Corning (USA) , RSA le rubis (France), Cyberstar (France), InPAC (France).
